About the role:
Amedisys, a leading provider of home health and hospice services, is hiring an AR Coordinator to join our revenue cycle team in a remote capacity. This role focuses on accurate medical billing and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely reimbursement and strong support for clinical and administrative teams.

What you’ll do:
• Process and manage medical billing tasks in line with payer guidelines and reimbursement criteria.
• Enter billing and administrative data accurately into systems; maintain strong data integrity.
• Prepare and distribute income statements and handle paycheck-related documentation where required.
• Reconcile payroll/accounts and prepare financial reports for accounting and audit needs.
• Investigate and resolve billing questions from internal teams and external customers.
• Meet daily productivity targets while maintaining accuracy and compliance.
• Apply analytical thinking to identify and improve billing workflows and efficiencies.
• Perform other assigned duties that support the revenue cycle and client needs.

Required skills & experience:
• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary training in business or medical billing preferred.
• At least 2 years’ experience in healthcare.
• Strong data-entry ability (40–50 wpm) with a high degree of accuracy.
• Familiarity with medical billing terminology, reimbursement rules and government payor requirements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and common office equipment.
• Demonstrated problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills.
• Able to work with minimal supervision, meet deadlines, and handle confidential information professionally.
• Hospice and room-and-board experience are a plus.

Schedule & compensation:
• Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (regular business hours).
• Starting pay range: $18.00 – $21.00 per hour.
• Compensation may vary by geographic market, experience, and job-related skills.
