The AR & AP Clerk supports the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable teams with daily accounting processes. This role involves managing and executing project tasks, providing oversight across departments, and ensuring accurate financial operations. The position reports to the AR, AP & Cash Manager.
Essential Functions:
- Process customer cash payments and post accurately to accounts.
- Perform quality assurance to ensure timely and correct distribution of customer invoices.
- Process customer invoices using third-party systems (e.g., Coupa, Ariba).
- Process supplier invoices, ensuring correct coding and approvals.
- Assist with T&E activities according to company policy.
- Support cash activities, including manual bank reconciliations.
- Handle other duties and special projects as assigned.
- Assist with financial audit activities and serve as backup for accounting functions.
- Respond promptly to inquiries from internal and external stakeholders and resolve administrative issues.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Excel.
- Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (US GAAP).
- Ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple concurrent projects independently.
- Strong verbal and written communication, reporting, and presentation skills.
- Proactive problem-solving and ability to take ownership of tasks.
- Maintain confidentiality and adapt to changing environments.
- Willingness to work overtime during busy periods and travel occasionally to Tampa Headquarters or other locations.
Education, Work Experience, and Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant finance and accounting experience.
- Intermediate Excel skills required; Workday Financials and Navan experience preferred.
- Experience with third-party billing portals (Ariba, Coupa) preferred.
- Knowledge of US GAAP, auditing, and accounting principles and standards.
