Description:
Vision Radiology is seeking an Applications Specialist to support its Privileging Team by managing provider applications, references, and required documentation for maintaining physician privileges across contracted healthcare locations. This remote role requires a highly organized professional who can ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely completion of credentialing processes.
The successful candidate will support provider onboarding, maintain credentialing databases, manage electronic records, and collaborate with internal teams, physicians, and external contacts. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Complete provider applications, references, and supporting documentation accurately and within required timelines.
• Review and interpret application notes and ensure all required information is properly processed.
• Communicate updates, missing details, and completed documentation with Privileging Specialists.
• Maintain credentialing databases through accurate data entry and document management.
• Perform regular audits of credentialing records to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
• Support provider onboarding activities and continuity of healthcare services.
• Maintain knowledge of organizational procedures, healthcare policies, and credentialing requirements.
• Collaborate with physicians, staff members, and external contacts to maintain effective working relationships.
• Follow healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, organizational policies, and applicable laws.
Requirements:
• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of administrative experience in healthcare preferred.
• Previous remote or hybrid work experience required; 1 year of remote work experience preferred.
• Must be detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision in a remote environment.
• Experience working with electronic records systems and digital documentation.
• Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing processes and manage deadlines.
• Strong knowledge of:
