About the Role:
Valiant Solutions is seeking a skilled Full Stack Application Developer to join our agile software development team supporting an environmentally focused Federal Government client. This client’s programs aim to advance environmental sustainability and safeguard natural resources, and your role will help develop and maintain information systems that track and report critical environmental data. You will work closely with business analysts, scrum masters, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality software that is secure, accessible, and aligned with the client’s business processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in all phases of the Agile software development lifecycle (SDLC), including planning, design, development, testing, and deployment
- Collaborate with business analysts, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure software solutions meet business needs
- Deliver projects on time and within budget, ensuring maintainable, scalable, and testable code
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design documents, user manuals, and release notes
- Foster collaboration and continuous improvement within the team
- Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend new tools and techniques to improve development processes
- Apply UX and UI principles to enhance the user experience
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum 7 years of experience as a Full Stack Software Developer
- Proficiency in front-end technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React or Angular frameworks
- Strong programming skills in TypeScript and Go
- Experience managing databases, particularly PostgreSQL, including design and optimization
- Familiarity with event-driven architecture; experience with RabbitMQ is highly desirable
- Expertise with cloud platforms, especially AWS, for building scalable and secure applications
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders
- Practical experience with Agile, Scrum, or Kanban methodologies
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
- Passion for producing high-quality software products
