Description:
Ladders is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented AP Specialist / Accounting Clerk to join a leading Aerospace & Defense organization. This role plays a pivotal part in maintaining financial discipline and supporting strategic decision-making. You will handle key reporting, forecasting, and analyses that guide investment, risk management, and resource allocation, while ensuring accuracy in all financial operations. This is an opportunity to connect numbers to business strategy while keeping day-to-day details precise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify and process invoices for accuracy and proper coding.
  • Prepare and manage vendor payments according to established schedules.
  • Maintain strong vendor relationships and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Reconcile accounts payable sub-ledgers and vendor statements.
  • Review and process employee expense reports.
  • Assist in month-end closing activities and prepare journal entries.
  • Maintain organized financial records, including documents and contracts.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulations, and financial procedures.
  • Contribute to improving accounting workflows and operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, or related field.
  • Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or CIMA is preferred.
  • 5+ years of relevant accounting or AP experience, ideally in the airline or transportation sector.
  • Strong understanding of airline revenue cycles and cost structures.
  • Proficiency in ERP and financial systems such as NetSuite or Tipalti.
  • Advanced skills in Excel and financial modeling.
  • Highly detail-oriented with the ability to adapt in fast-paced environments.
