About the Role
Oscar Health is seeking an Analyst to join our Payment Integrity team. This position focuses on investigating, analyzing, and verifying the proper payment of medical and pharmacy claims, with particular emphasis on Coordination of Benefits. The role reports to the Senior Manager of Payment Integrity and contributes to ensuring accurate and compliant payment processes.
Work Location
Oscar supports a blended work environment. Employees within commutable distance to the New York City, Tempe, or Los Angeles offices are expected to work on-site at least two days per week. Otherwise, this is a fully remote position within eligible states.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and investigate whether dual coverage exists for Oscar members.
- Support leadership in scoping, sizing, prioritizing, and delivering Coordination of Benefits solutions.
- Use data analysis tools to create precise, quantitative analyses of payment issues.
- Conduct quality reviews of Coordination of Benefits vendor findings.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Payment Integrity.
- At least 1 year of experience in claims processing, auditing, or healthcare operations.
- Proficiency with large data sets using Excel or database tools.
Preferred / Bonus Skills
- Experience using SQL.
- 2+ years of related work in Coordination of Benefits.
