Description:

Cartus is hiring an Analyst II for its Global Accounts Payable team. In this role you’ll be responsible for auditing supplier invoices, ensuring accurate and timely payments to suppliers, and supporting timely client billing. The position also involves reconciling account agings, coordinating with other accounting teams, and contributing to special projects that improve controls and efficiency.

Major duties and responsibilities include:

  • Audit supplier invoices against client policies, supplier contracts, tax requirements and supporting documents to ensure correct client billing.
  • Assess VAT, GST and other tax obligations as applicable and flag any discrepancies.
  • Communicate with suppliers to obtain corrected documentation when invoices do not meet requirements.
  • Process payments using the appropriate currency and payment method (checks, wires, ACH).
  • Manage vendor setup documentation and request vendor onboarding when needed.
  • Create reclass entries and set up receivables as required.
  • Document decisions and maintain records in the appropriate financial systems for control and audit trails.
  • Track and resolve returned, canceled, or pending payments.
  • Escalate unresolved issues and work cross-functionally to reach timely resolutions.
  • Participate in team huddles and other required meetings; contribute to ad-hoc projects.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Approximately 2 years’ experience in Accounts Payable or related accounting/finance roles preferred.
  • Solid numerical and accounting skills, with strong organizational capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment and make decisions consistent with policies and controls.
