LaunchDarkly is seeking an experienced AI Specialist to lead the development, adoption, and optimization of LaunchDarkly for AI (LD4AI). This role places you at the forefront of AI-driven software delivery, helping AI engineers build, release, monitor, and scale intelligent agents while guiding product strategy and early-stage adoption. The position requires a blend of technical mastery, problem-solving, and storytelling ability to communicate complex AI solutions effectively to customers and partners.

As an AI Specialist, you will work closely with product, engineering, and solutions teams to drive adoption of LD4AI, gather actionable feedback, and establish best practices for AI deployment. You will be instrumental in building integrations, technical content, tutorials, and demonstrations tailored to strategic customer engagements. Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as an expert solutions and sales engineering resource for AI applications, representing LD4AI in customer engagements.
• Lead early-stage implementation and adoption of LD4AI, ensuring customer activation and retention while gathering actionable feedback.
• Develop and document Solutions Engineering playbooks, processes, and best practices.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to align product capabilities with market needs.
• Build technical integrations, whitepapers, tutorials, and demos to showcase LD4AI’s capabilities.
• Support partnerships with organizations such as Anthropic and DataBricks.
• Publicly evangelize LD4AI through conferences, webinars, and strategic industry engagements.
• Provide technical leadership and enablement for the SE team, co-owning revenue enablement and competitor playbooks.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 12 years of experience in AI, software engineering, or related technical fields.
• Deep expertise with AI applications, including building or selling AI solutions at scale.
• Experience with multi-agent frameworks such as LangGraph, AgentBuilder, or AgentCore.
• Strong Python skills, with hands-on experience in PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Understanding of LLM mechanics, transformer architectures, and automated agent evaluation methods.
• Familiarity with MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers and AI performance evaluation at scale.
• Strong software engineering foundation, analytical mindset, and knowledge of current AI market trends.
• Excellent communication skills and natural storytelling ability to convey technical concepts.
• Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments and contribute to undefined processes.

  • Zone 2 (Irvine, LA, Austin, Chicago, etc.): $172,000 – $237,000
  • Zone 3 (All other US locations): $163,000 – $224,000
