Description:
Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church is seeking a reliable and highly organized Administrative Assistant to support the smooth operation of its parish office. This role is ideal for candidates with strong administrative skills who can provide professional support while maintaining a welcoming environment for parishioners, visitors, clergy, and community members.
The successful candidate will manage office communications, maintain accurate records, assist with routine financial administration, and support church programs and events. The position requires excellent organizational skills, confidentiality, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a community-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Serve as the first point of contact for visitors, parishioners, clergy, and vendors by providing professional assistance.
• Manage incoming calls, emails, and correspondence while ensuring timely responses.
• Maintain organized parish records, membership information, sacramental records, and event documentation.
• Assist with financial administration, including invoices, donations, and expense reports.
• Coordinate and support church programs, services, and special events.
• Prepare and distribute newsletters, bulletins, and community announcements.
• Support the Parish Priest and Parish Council with scheduling and administrative tasks.
• Maintain office supplies and ensure a well-organized office environment.
• Follow church policies and procedures in all administrative activities.
Requirements:
• High School Diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
• Previous administrative experience, especially in religious or non-profit organizations, is an advantage.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Basic knowledge of financial procedures and administrative tasks.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
• Interest in supporting a faith-based community environment is preferred.
