The Accounts Receivable Specialist for Strategic Accounts will play a key role in managing customer billing, collections, and payment resolution for large customer portfolios, collaborating closely with internal teams to ensure accuracy and efficiency in financial processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect outstanding balances from customers via email, phone, and portals.
- Work collaboratively with Sales, Operations, and other internal teams to resolve payment issues.
- Proactively identify challenges that may delay payment and escalate when necessary.
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships to support timely payments.
- Follow Collections Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and monitor accounts.
- Provide recommendations for bad debt provisions or write-offs.
- Supply customers with invoices, credit memos, W9 forms, banking information, and other necessary documents.
- Update billing remittance information and establish points of contact for future follow-ups.
- Generate accurate invoices, manage billing cycles, and ensure timely billing.
- Assist with ad hoc projects and business improvement initiatives as needed.
Skills & Requirements:
- Proven success in achieving credit and collections goals while maintaining strong customer relationships.
- Experience with Workday Financial is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective time management skills.
