Position Overview:
Reporting to the Manager of Billing and Collections, the Accounts Receivable Specialist manages the company’s AR functions to ensure timely and accurate invoicing, payment processing, and collections. This role balances operational excellence with maintaining positive customer relationships while adhering to internal policies and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Receivable Management

  • Maintain and reconcile customer AR accounts, resolving discrepancies promptly.
  • Post customer payments and process credit memos or adjustments as needed.
  • Track, analyze, and report on past-due accounts, recommending collection strategies.

Invoicing & Revenue Recognition

  • Generate and issue customer invoices according to contract terms and revenue recognition policies.
  • Ensure all invoices are accurate, reflect agreed pricing, and comply with customer schedules.

Collections & Customer Engagement

  • Conduct collections activities to secure timely payments while fostering positive client relationships.
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries and resolve billing disputes efficiently.
  • Support customer retention through clear communication and issue resolution.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with internal teams to ensure billing accuracy and address customer concerns, maintaining a high-quality experience.

Required Skills & Competencies:

  • Associate degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in Accounts Receivable, Billing, or Collections.
  • Strong ability to analyze financial data and report findings effectively.
  • Knowledge of billing procedures, collections techniques, and account analysis.
  • ERP and Office 365 experience; familiarity with Salesforce or Sage Intacct preferred.
