Role Overview:
Flock Safety is seeking a highly organized and proactive Accounts Receivable Specialist to join the Collections team. This position is remote and focuses on managing collections, customer support, and ensuring cash flow objectives are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively manage collections on outstanding invoices through phone and email outreach to meet daily, weekly, and monthly targets.
- Maintain accurate and concise collection notes and records for reporting and analysis.
- Conduct reconciliations and analyze past due balances.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve account-related issues efficiently.
- Escalate inquiries appropriately to ensure timely resolution.
- Identify process improvements to enhance workflow efficiency and resource utilization.
- Assist with other finance team duties including cash application, invoicing, and related deliverables.
Skills & Experience:
- 2-5 years in billing and accounts receivable within a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Professional handling of escalated customer concerns while supporting team members.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, complex formulas).
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently in a dynamic setting.
- Team-oriented, with excellent communication skills for internal and external interactions.
- Experience with Salesforce, Zoom, Tesorio, or other collections management tools is a plus.
- Adaptable with a positive attitude and high level of enthusiasm.
90-Day Plan:
- First 30 Days: Meet key stakeholders, learn workflows for billing and collections, understand products and customer contracts, and become familiar with Salesforce and Tesorio.
- First 60 Days: Manage your invoice queue, gain insight into customer needs, respond to ticketing inquiries, and start resolving collections issues.
- 90 Days & Beyond: Demonstrate independent handling of billing and collections, maintain accurate notes, meet SLAs and collection goals, and form strong relationships with internal teams.
