Description:
Cardinal Health is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist II to join our remote team in the United States. This role is integral to the Contracts and Billing department, managing customer and vendor contract administration, pricing, rebates, billing (including dropships), chargebacks, and vendor invoices. You will play a key role in developing and negotiating contracts while ensuring financial processes and internal controls are followed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Submit medical documentation and billing data to insurance providers
  • Research and appeal denied or rejected claims
  • Prepare, review, and transmit claims using electronic and paper billing systems
  • Follow up on unpaid claims within standard billing cycles
  • Contact insurance companies to resolve payment discrepancies when necessary
  • Review insurance payments for accuracy and completeness

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and computer systems
  • Familiarity with ICD-10 coding and medical terminology
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Strong problem-solving, multitasking, and communication skills
  • Competence with billing software and 10-key calculators

 Role Expectations:

  • Apply basic concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to perform routine tasks
  • Work on projects of limited scope under direct supervision with detailed instructions
  • Develop professional competence through structured work assignments

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Hourly pay: $21.80 – $31.20 per hour
