Description:
North American Partners in Anesthesia is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Receivable Representative II to join our remote team. Under the supervision of the Collections Supervisor or Manager, this role focuses on managing accounts receivable for assigned payers, ensuring timely collections, resolving billing issues, and maintaining compliance with all applicable regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
• Review, evaluate, and forward manual paper claims to payers requiring special handling.
• Document billing activities on patient accounts and report any compliance concerns to departmental leadership.
• Review claims for accuracy and coordinate with ancillary departments to provide necessary information for audits or record reviews.
• Correct electronic claims based on payer error reports to optimize submission processes.
• Conduct prompt follow-ups on aged accounts, including drafting written appeals when necessary.
• Accurately document all account follow-up actions to maintain a complete collection record.
• Monitor claim rejections for trends and report findings to lead billers and departmental leaders.
• Provide professional and timely customer service by addressing patient and third-party billing inquiries.
• Assist in reviewing and resolving credit balances.
• Participate in general or special assignments and attend required training.

Requirements & Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred.
• 2–4 years of customer service or business office experience, preferably in a medical setting.
• Knowledge of patient accounting processes and healthcare terminology is strongly preferred.
• Strong computer skills, including MS Word and Excel.
• Ability to maintain accuracy while handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including professional telephone etiquette.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA compliance.
• Dependable, organized, and strong time management skills.
