Description:
Value-Based RCM, Inc. (VBRCM) is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Receivable Representative 1 to join our team. This role focuses on resolving insurance denials, analyzing trends, and ensuring accurate billing to prevent future payment issues. As a remote team member, you will contribute to enhancing our revenue cycle processes while maintaining superior customer service standards.

Key Responsibilities:
• Resolve payer insurance denials and follow up on appeals to ensure timely resolution.
• Identify payment trends and communicate findings to Supervisors or Team Leads.
• Correct billing errors and obtain updated insurance information.
• Independently identify denial reasons and outline steps for resolution.
• Handle client, payer, and patient inquiries promptly and accurately.
• Maintain current knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party billing, claim forms, and appeal requirements.
• Stay updated on CPT and ICD-10 codes, required modifiers, encounter data, and Explanation of Benefits (EOB) codes.
• Document activities in billing systems for accurate records.
• Utilize payer websites and portals for processing and follow-up.
• Meet department productivity and quality standards.
• Exhibit professional communication reflecting VBRCM’s commitment to superior service.
• Handle patient protected health information (PHI) in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 codes.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Familiarity with medical terminology preferred.
• Strong computer, typing, and calculator skills.
• Desire and ability to work in a remote environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Education / Experience:
• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous medical billing experience required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Physical Requirements:
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
