Description:
Amedisys is seeking a motivated Accounts Receivable (AR) Coordinator to join our growing team. This remote role offers the chance to contribute to one of the largest and most trusted home health and hospice companies in the U.S., helping ensure accurate payments for an assigned portfolio of claims according to payor guidelines.
Responsibilities:
• Ensure proper payment for assigned claims in line with payor regulations.
• Apply knowledge of medical billing guidelines, including governmental payors.
• Handle denied or partially paid claims with proficiency.
• Utilize medical billing terminology accurately in communications.
• Demonstrate analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
• Maintain professional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication.
• Use Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook) and office equipment effectively.
• Plan, organize, and prioritize work efficiently to meet daily production goals.
• Operate with minimal supervision while maintaining accuracy and timeliness.
• Respond to internal and external customer inquiries using excellent customer service skills.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required:
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Healthcare AR Collections.
• Familiarity with medical terminology.
• Strong data entry skills, typing 40–50 WPM with high accuracy.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Post-secondary education or specialized training in business or medical billing/collections.
