Description:
Upstream Rehabilitation is seeking a dedicated Accounts Receivable (AR) Associate to join our remote team. This role is critical in ensuring timely and accurate reimbursement for aged accounts, supporting our mission to inspire and empower the lives we touch through outpatient physical and occupational therapy services.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and resolve unpaid accounts efficiently and professionally
• Meet productivity standards while reducing outstanding AR balances
• Verify payments for accuracy, correct account discrepancies, and process adjustments or transfers
• Document all actions and account reviews thoroughly
• Identify and report errors, compliance issues, and trends to leadership
• Stay informed on state billing rules, guidelines, and statutes of limitations
• Provide exception support to internal and external customers
• Handle escalated accounts promptly and report findings
• Assist with other projects and duties as assigned
Required Skills & Experience:
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Minimum one year of experience in Revenue Cycle, Medicare, and Commercial Insurance in a high-production environment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities
• High attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively
• Problem-solving skills with timely resolution
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
Preferred Qualifications:
• Three or more years of experience in Revenue Cycle, Medicare, and Commercial Insurance
• Experience identifying process improvements and recommending solutions
