Role Overview:
The Accounts Receivable Analyst will be responsible for managing and analyzing customer accounts receivable balances. This position requires collecting and summarizing data from multiple sources, maintaining accurate customer accounts, and resolving discrepancies in payments. The analyst will collaborate closely with accounting, sales, and operations teams to address billing issues and maintain strong client relationships. Up to 10% travel may be required for meetings or training.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and review customer accounts receivable balances
- Identify and resolve discrepancies between customer payments and invoices
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding billing or payment issues
- Communicate with clients to resolve payment problems and obtain required documentation
- Follow up on late or irregular payments
- Update customer billing information as needed
- Collaborate with operations and sales teams to address AR issues
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounts receivable laws and regulations
Skills & Attributes:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written, verbal communication, and customer service skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Familiarity with accounting software such as Microsoft Business Central
Minimum Requirements:
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- 2-3 years of experience in accounts receivable or similar role, collections experience is advantageous
