The Opportunity
We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Analyst to join our finance team. In this role you will monitor and analyze customer receivable balances, investigate payment discrepancies, and partner with operations and sales to resolve billing issues. You’ll play a key part in improving collections and maintaining strong client relationships. The role is primarily remote, with occasional travel (up to 10%) for meetings or training.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Monitor and review customer accounts receivable balances and aging.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies between invoices and payments.
- Handle customer inquiries related to billing and payments; request and process required documents.
- Follow up on overdue or irregular payments and maintain collection records.
- Update and maintain accurate customer billing information (contact details, billing addresses, etc.).
- Coordinate with operations and sales to research and clear AR issues.
- Ensure AR activities comply with applicable laws and internal policies.
- Prepare reports and summaries to support management decision-making.
Skills & Attributes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication with strong customer service orientation.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
- Familiarity with accounting or ERP systems (experience with Microsoft Business Central is a plus).
Requirements
- Education: Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Experience: 2–3 years in accounts receivable or a related finance/collections role; prior collections experience is advantageous.
- Ability to travel occasionally (up to 10%) for company meetings or training.
