Description:
Risk Strategies, one of the largest privately held brokerage firms in the U.S., is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Receivable Analyst to join its growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions, resolving discrepancies, supporting Account Managers, and ensuring accurate accounting processes. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and exceptional customer service abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Discrepancy Resolution: Identify and resolve inconsistencies in financial transactions before applying funds to maintain accuracy, collaborating effectively with accounting teams and field offices.
• Operating and Trust Account Exceptions: Handle exceptions in operating and trust accounts with proper documentation and resolution.
• Payment Identification: Work with Account Managers to identify payments and accurately apply them to the correct accounts.
• Daily Reconciliation: Perform daily reconciliation between payments received at the bank and entries in the system; provide supporting evidence to supervisors.
• Finance Agreement Processing: Process finance agreements for funding according to established procedures.
• Portal Ticket Management: Respond to portal inquiries and resolve issues efficiently.
• Interoffice Bank Transfers: Facilitate transfers between offices with accurate documentation and compliance.
• Claim System Payments: Review and resolve payments in the “Claim this Client” system to ensure proper accounting.
• Aged Receivables: Monitor and manage overdue accounts, proactively addressing outstanding issues.
• Team Support: Provide backup support during peak periods or staff absences to maintain workflow continuity.
• Ad Hoc Projects: Assist with special projects as assigned to support departmental goals.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• 2+ years of experience in accounts receivable, financial analysis, or related roles
• Insurance accounting experience is required
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to collaborate across teams
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing processes
• Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities
