About The Position
We are seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to support accurate and timely payment processing for suppliers and to assist with financial aid/student refund disbursements. The role focuses on maintaining complete invoice documentation, resolving discrepancies, and supporting internal teams with system guidance and payment status updates.
What You’ll Do
- Examine, organize and track supplier invoices and related documentation to ensure compliance with organizational policies and accuracy.
- Review and research problem invoices, statements or supplier records following department procedures and management requests.
- Liaise with suppliers and internal units to investigate routine inquiries and resolve discrepancies.
- Serve as a point of contact for receiving and distributing financial aid checks or student refund checks when required, and keep department staff informed of check statuses.
- Provide system support and basic training to internal business units as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills to convey general accounting information to internal and external customers.
