We Are Hiring – Accounts Payable Clerk
Pyxus International, Inc. is seeking a meticulous Accounts Payable Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments while maintaining compliance with internal policies and external regulations. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across departments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Process high-volume invoices efficiently and accurately.
• Perform 3-way matching of purchase orders, receipts, and invoices as required.
• Review and verify invoice details for accuracy.
• Ensure timely payments to vendors and maintain payment schedules.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Prepare weekly payment runs including checks, ACH, and wire transfers.
• Support year-end audit preparation.
• Collaborate with procurement, finance, and other departments to resolve issues.
Requirements and Qualifications:
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• Experience in accounts payable processing.
• Proficiency in accounts payable software such as SAP or Inspyrus.
• Strong Excel skills including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
• Familiarity with AP automation tools is a plus.
• Knowledge of accounts payable best practices.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
