Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-focused Accounts Payable Analyst to join our finance team. This role is responsible for recording month-end accruals, reviewing invoices, completing reconciliations, and assisting with process improvements. You will work independently, help ensure AP transactions and accruals are GAAP-compliant, and support the manager with policy updates and system testing.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Analyze high-volume A/P invoices and record month-end accruals using GAAP principles and contract terms.
  • Review invoices for accuracy and proper general ledger coding.
  • Process new vendor setups and verify required documentation.
  • Complete and review reconciliations for accounts payable-related GL accounts; identify and adjust accruals as needed.
  • Perform analytical procedures to research fluctuations and document rationale and recommendations.
  • Lead user-acceptance testing for new AP systems and process changes.
  • Troubleshoot vendor inquiries and ensure timely vendor payments.
  • Support audit requests by preparing and providing appropriate documentation.
  • Assist with company credit card program administration and reporting.
  • Review vendor contracts and coordinate with management on correct accounting treatment.
  • Contribute to the 1099 process to ensure vendor reporting accuracy.
  • Participate in ad hoc analysis and accounting projects as assigned.

Education And Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • 2–3 years of relevant corporate finance or accounting experience; public company exposure is a plus.
  • Prior experience with general ledger duties, account reconciliations, and accounts payable preferred.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas) and comfort with multiple software tools.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit for extended periods (typically 7–8 hours/day).
  • Comfortable using a computer, phone systems, and multiple applications simultaneously.

Work Arrangement:

  • Fully remote role within the U.S.; employees must be available five days per week during designated work hours. Remote work arrangement may be adjusted based on business needs or individual performance.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Base pay range: $43,000 – $60,000 per year (actual offer will reflect experience, skills, and location).
