Description:
Al Thamam Electronics is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join its finance team in Dubai. This full-time position is open to both fresh graduates and candidates with prior accounting experience. The successful candidate will play a hands-on role in the day-to-day accounting function, ensuring accurate records, timely processing of transactions, and smooth month-end procedures. Immediate joining is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with day-to-day accounting operations, including accurate data entry and maintenance of financial ledgers.
- Prepare and process invoices, receipts, payments, and other financial transactions in a timely manner.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, following up on outstanding items as required.
- Reconcile bank statements regularly and help monitor cash flow.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including journaling and reconciliations.
- Assist in preparing financial reports, budgets, and documentation for tax filings.
- Handle petty cash and employee expense claims, ensuring proper documentation and approvals.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external auditors when requested to provide records or explanations.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and regulatory requirements, maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho).
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential financial information with discretion.
