Description:
The Accounting Staff will be responsible for handling daily accounting operations for MEP subcontracting projects, ensuring that all financial transactions are accurately recorded and aligned with UAE accounting standards and tax regulations. This role requires close coordination with internal teams to support smooth project financial management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records for ongoing MEP subcontracting projects
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable related to suppliers and subcontractors
  • Process supplier invoices, progress billings, variations, and retention amounts efficiently
  • Monitor job costing, project budgets, and proper expense allocation
  • Reconcile bank statements and supplier accounts on a regular basis
  • Prepare and assist in monthly financial reports and summaries
  • Ensure full compliance with UAE VAT regulations and documentation requirements
  • Coordinate closely with project managers, procurement teams, and site staff
  • Maintain organized records and documentation for all accounting-related transactions

Qualifications & Requirements – Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of accounting experience within the UAE
  • Mandatory experience in the Construction industry, specifically MEP Sub-Contractor projects
  • Solid understanding of:
    • Project-based accounting
    • Subcontractor billing and certification processes
    • Retention handling, variations, and final account procedures

Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in accounting operations
  • Advanced MS Excel skills, particularly in Excel-based reporting
  • Good knowledge of UAE VAT laws and compliance
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and handle pressure in a fast-paced environment
