Description:
NAES Corporation, a leading operator in power generation, renewable energy, and industrial construction, is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our finance team. This role is integral to ensuring accurate financial records, supporting audits, and assisting with intercompany transactions while maintaining high standards of integrity and efficiency.
Primary Duties:
- Enter corporate and subsidiary general journals and job cost entries, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare entries for review and post approved entries into financial systems.
- Reconcile intercompany transactions with HQ accounting and subsidiaries using Smartsheet.
- Maintain and organize physical and digital records of posted entries at HQ and subsidiaries.
- Perform month-end and year-end accounting tasks, supporting internal and external audits as needed.
- Maintain detailed desk procedures and assist with other projects or duties as assigned.
Working Relationships:
- Report to the Director of Finance Operations.
- Interact frequently with finance and accounting teams across the company.
Specific Skills & Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of journal entry processes and general accounting concepts.
- Critical thinking with the ability to analyze work for errors and apply corrective processes.
- Highly detail-oriented with excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
- Professional independence and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to establish productive working relationships across departments.
- Maintain confidentiality at all times.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:
- Standard work hours: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, minimum 20 hrs/week.
- Additional hours may be required to meet deadlines.
- Ability to sit for extended periods, communicate effectively, and handle prolonged screen time.
- Participation in Fitness for Duty Program including post-offer physical and drug screening.
