We are seeking an Accounting Operations Specialist to join our Finance team. Reporting directly to the VP of Accounting, this role manages the full cycle of Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP), including invoicing, collections, vendor payments, reimbursements, and cash flow forecasting. You will also oversee tax compliance through Avalara and contribute to strengthening accounting operations as the company scales.
What You’ll Do:
• Take full ownership of AR & AP cycles
• Review contracts in Salesforce/ERP, generate accurate invoices, and manage collections
• Ensure sales tax compliance using Avalara (all registrations current)
• Process approximately 200 vendor bills per month via Bill.com and prepare timely vendor payments
• Review employee expense reports in Expensify and process reimbursements
• Forecast weekly cash collections and payments, communicating expected flows to the team
• Reconcile daily cash activity to ERP and collaborate with Senior Accountant to resolve discrepancies
• Support annual audit preparation and participate in ad-hoc accounting projects
What We’re Looking For:
• 3+ years of experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, or general accounting
• Hands-on experience with Bill.com, Salesforce, Avalara, Rillet, and Expensify is strongly preferred
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and ability to handle high volume
• Strong communicator capable of collaborating across Finance, Sales, and with external vendors/customers
• Degree in Accounting or equivalent experience
Compensation Range:
• $75,000 – $95,000 annually, with eligibility for discretionary bonuses/incentives and equity in the company
