Description:
Magic Eden is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to oversee and manage our financial operations within the NFT marketplace. As a leading Bitcoin dApp and NFT platform, Magic Eden is redefining digital ownership, and this role is crucial to ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage general ledger, revenue recognition, accounts payable/receivable, and expense processes.
• Oversee month-end and year-end close, including consolidations, reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries.
• Prepare and review financial statements monthly, quarterly, and annually.
• Support tax preparation, filings, and compliance activities.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Evaluate and enhance accounting systems, workflows, and reporting tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize financial processes and scalability.
• Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutions.
• Conduct financial analysis and provide ad-hoc reporting to support decision-making and business growth.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Strong understanding of GAAP principles and experience applying them to complex transactions.
• Knowledge of NFTs, blockchain technology, and digital asset markets is a plus.
• Proven experience in managing accounting operations and driving process improvements.
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to interpret financial data.
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams.
• Detail-oriented with strong focus on accuracy, compliance, and regulatory reporting.
• Proficiency in ERP systems.
• Ability to work independently in a remote-first environment.
