Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead day-to-day accounting operations for the MegaFood business unit. Reporting to the MegaFood Controller, you will oversee month-end close activities, manage balance sheet reconciliations and treasury, and help maintain accounting policies and controls. This is a hands-on leadership role that includes supervising a small accounting team (two accountants) and driving process improvements and automation across accounting workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead month-end close activities, prepare journal entries, and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting.
- Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and prepare the monthly trial balance for corporate submission.
- Identify and implement process and system improvements, including automation opportunities to boost efficiency and accuracy.
- Develop and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with regulations and IFRS reporting standards.
- Manage sales tax compliance processes (using third-party tools such as Avalara) and support tax and audit deliverables.
- Mentor and develop accounting staff—set objectives, provide feedback, and conduct performance reviews (2+ years management experience required).
- Support budgeting, forecasting and ad-hoc financial analyses as needed.
Qualifications & Skills
- Proven accounting leadership experience with a hands-on approach to month-end close and reconciliations.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and familiarity with IFRS and compliance requirements.
- Experience with sales tax systems (Avalara or similar) and coordinating audit/tax support packages.
- Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and process-improvement mindset.
- Strong communication and people-management skills; demonstrated ability to develop and coach staff.
- Comfortable working in a hybrid/remote environment with periodic travel to New Hampshire.
Compensation And Benefits

SALARY RANGE
National Target Base Pay Range: $96,000 — $162,000.
California & NY Metro Target Base Pay Range: $106,000 — $180,000 (reflects local market conditions).
Actual pay will depend on geographic location, experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors. Base pay is one element of the total compensation package.
