We’re looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to own and evolve our core accounting operations. You’ll be responsible for managing the monthly close process, ensuring GAAP compliance, supporting audits, and implementing scalable processes. Reporting to the CFO, this is a high-impact role with visibility across the business and an opportunity to shape the foundation of our financial infrastructure.
Ideally, you will have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA strongly preferred
- 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally including public accounting and high-growth startups
- Strong understanding of GAAP, SaaS revenue recognition (ASC 606), and financial controls
- Experience working at a venture-backed startup, ideally from Series A to C
- Proficiency in accounting systems and tools (QBO, Ramp, Stripe)
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach
Bonus points for:
- Familiarity with billing tools (e.g., Stripe, Chargebee, or Zuora)
- SaaS industry experience, including familiarity with ARR/MRR, deferred revenue, and subscription billing
- Exposure to sales tax compliance tools (e.g., Avalara, TaxJar, Anrok)
What you’ll be responsible for:
- Own the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process and deliver timely and accurate financial reporting
- Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, including revenue recognition under ASC 606 (SaaS-specific)
- Maintain and reconcile GL accounts, prepaid expenses, accruals, and fixed assets
- Manage AP, invoicing/collections, and payroll accounting
- Oversee state and local tax filings, including sales tax
- Support the preparation of financial statements, board reports, and investor materials
- Partner with Finance, Sales, and Ops to ensure accuracy and completeness of data inputs and outputs
- Implement and improve internal controls, policies, and procedures to support audit readiness and a rapidly scaling organization
