Purpose

Introduction to the corporate accounting function to apply and practice accounting principles and skills in a work environment.

Responsibilities

Leadership and Direction

  • Perform work under direct supervision of an experienced professional and follow established procedures and clearly defined processes.

At The Operational And Company Level

  • Interact with multiple departments and peers within the organization and participate in intern program learning and development opportunities.

Do the Work

  • Assist accounting teams with budgets, forecasting, audit, tax reporting and other accounting processes.
  • Assist with or perform reconciliations, investigation of variances and analysis.
  • Perform data entry for accounting functions including Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R).
  • Interact with clients or vendors to handle general inquiries, payments, refunds and statements.
  • Perform general clerical duties to assist accounting teams.
  • Create or maintain filing systems for account functions.
  • Participate in other accounting projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent commensurate experience required.
  • Enrolled in a college degree program pursuing a Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting or related field.
  • Two or more (2+) years of practical work experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
