A growing organization is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Generalist to support its Finance Operations team in a fully remote capacity. This role offers an excellent opportunity for accounting professionals looking to gain exposure to a wide range of finance functions, including payroll administration, billing operations, vendor management, compliance tracking, and financial record maintenance.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial workflows across multiple business functions. Responsibilities will include supporting accounts payable and receivable processes, maintaining compliance records, assisting with payroll administration, and helping manage financial documentation and reporting activities.

This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments, possess strong organizational skills, and can effectively manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism. The role is fully remote with standard weekday working hours and occasional extended-hour requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Validate employee time records and assist with payroll processing activities.

• Maintain payroll records and support ADP and Deel payroll workflows and reporting.

• Assist with year-end reporting, 1099 preparation, and HSA administration processes.

• Monitor state tax notices, maintain audit documentation, and support compliance activities.

• Assist with quarterly filings and regulatory reporting requirements.

• Update vendor management systems and process vendor invoices and payment records.

• Support accounts receivable operations, billing schedules, reconciliations, and collections follow-up.

• Review contracts and billing terms to ensure accurate invoicing and revenue tracking.

• Upload and validate expense reports and financial records across internal systems.

• Maintain organized documentation within OneDrive and other company platforms.

• Support audit readiness, financial data validation, and compliance requirements.

• Provide day-to-day accounting and finance operational support as needed.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or an equivalent field.

• Minimum one year of accounting or finance-related experience.

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial recordkeeping.

• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively.

• Collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.

• Experience with accounting, payroll, or financial management systems is preferred.
