Description:
D&Y Staffing is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting Clerk to support the accounting department in day-to-day operations. This role involves handling work log processing, invoice management, and various administrative accounting tasks to ensure accuracy and compliance. The position is primarily remote, with minimal in-office requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Gather and organize documents for work log packets
- Assist with renaming emails and work log files for consistency
- Process work logs into the system, audit against supporting documentation
- Split and rename AC42 reports and rental car receipts for weekly billing
- Combine billable invoices for the Billing Coordinator as needed
- Contact hotels daily to obtain receipts
- Code approved vendor invoices to the correct expense accounts
- Upload receipts from Visa accounts into Concur
- Email commercial customer invoices after weekly billing
- Serve as an alternate backup for phone coverage
- Perform additional projects as assigned by management
Requirements / Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in accounting, finance, or business administration desired
- Minimum two years of accounting experience; accounts payable or payroll experience preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; experience with accounting software a plus
- Strong attention to detail with accurate mathematical and analytical skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks, solve problems, and meet deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for internal and external interactions
- Team-oriented, flexible, and cooperative approach to work
Physical / Environmental Demands:
- Primarily remote work with minimal in-office requirements
- Prolonged sitting at a workstation using computer, telephone, and calculator
- Frequent use of Zoom calls and messaging
- Moderate stress level and occasional overtime may be required
