📢 Mercor is hiring experienced accounting and audit professionals to contribute to high-impact AI research projects by reviewing, validating, and refining AI-generated financial content. This short-term, remote contract is ideal for accountants who can combine technical accounting knowledge with clear written communication to improve model outputs used in finance and compliance domains.

Role Overview:

• Author, review, and improve AI-generated accounting analyses, audit summaries, and financial statement content.
• Validate outputs against accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS) and ensure technical accuracy and appropriate disclosures.
• Provide structured editorial feedback to improve clarity, correctness, and adherence to professional accounting practice.
• Tag and organize examples by topic, complexity, and industry sector to support benchmarking and model evaluation.

Responsibilities:

• Critically review source materials and AI drafts, correcting errors and enhancing explanations where needed.
• Ensure examples and solutions are original, accurate, and aligned with accepted accounting guidance.
• Classify and label content for downstream use (by topic, industry, or difficulty).
• Contribute to benchmarking efforts to assess AI capabilities across accounting tasks.
• Communicate findings and edits in a clear, actionable manner for engineering and product teams.

Must-Have Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of professional accounting experience in public practice, industry, or specialized contexts.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Active or earned professional certification such as CPA, CA, CMA, or ACCA.
• Strong technical knowledge of GAAP and/or IFRS and core accounting processes (financial reporting, tax, audit).
• Excellent written communication and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:
