Description:
Golden Helix Shipping L.L.C is seeking an experienced Accountant to join its growing team in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. This opportunity is ideal for finance professionals who have prior experience working in the shipping or freight forwarding industry and are looking to contribute to a dynamic business environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting daily accounting operations, and ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards. Candidates with strong analytical skills and industry-specific experience are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain accurate accounting records and financial documentation.
• Record daily financial transactions and prepare journal entries.
• Reconcile bank accounts, customer accounts, and supplier accounts.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Prepare financial reports and assist with audit requirements.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and financial procedures.
Requirements:
• Previous experience in the Shipping or Freight Forwarding industry is required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

• Financial Accounting and Bookkeeping
