Description:
SIBCA is looking for a skilled Accountant to join its finance team in Sharjah. This opportunity is ideal for professionals with experience in invoicing, accounts receivable, collections, and financial record management. The selected candidate will help ensure accurate billing, timely collections, and smooth day-to-day accounting operations.
The ideal applicant should have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent organizational abilities, and experience working with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel. Candidates with UAE accounting experience will have an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and issue accurate customer invoices within required timelines.
• Verify supporting documents before processing invoices.
• Coordinate with operations and sales teams to obtain billing information.
• Resolve invoice-related discrepancies and customer inquiries promptly.
• Monitor customer accounts and outstanding receivables.
• Follow up on overdue payments through phone calls, emails, and customer visits when required.
• Reconcile customer accounts and resolve payment-related issues.
• Prepare aging reports and provide regular collection status updates.
• Maintain accurate records of collection activities and customer communications.
• Record customer receipts and perform account reconciliations.
• Assist with bank reconciliations and maintain supporting financial documentation.
• Support month-end closing activities, financial reporting, audits, and compliance requirements.
• Generate periodic accounts receivable and collection reports.
• Maintain and update customer master data.
• Provide general accounting and administrative support to the finance team.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2 to 5 years of experience in accounting, invoicing, and collections.
• Good understanding of accounts receivable processes.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong communication, organizational, and follow-up skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
• UAE accounting experience will be an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of:
• Invoicing and billing procedures
• Accounts receivable, credit control, and collections
• ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, and account reconciliation
