Description:
Overview:
JBT Marel is looking for a hands-on Accountant to join the corporate accounting team. You will help maintain the accuracy of the company’s financial records by recording transactions, preparing reconciliations, and supporting monthly/quarterly/year-end close activities. This role reports to the Accounting Supervisor and plays a key part in ensuring financial integrity and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes and reporting.
• Prepare and post journal entries across multiple general ledger accounts.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts on a regular basis to ensure completeness and correctness.
• Participate in monthly balance sheet reviews with business stakeholders and the shared service center (SSC).
• Assist with OneStream reporting and maintain accurate records in line with JBT Marel standards.
• Ensure all transactions comply with US GAAP and internal control policies (including SOX requirements).
• Support internal and external audit requests; prepare schedules and documentation to address audit findings.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and share accounting best practices across the Accounting CoE.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and participate in special projects as assigned.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Solid knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• Proficiency with accounting systems/ERPs (experience with JDE, SL9, and Office 365 is preferred).
• Experience working within SOX-compliant environments.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate clearly.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
