Toppan Merrill, a global technology leader, is seeking a skilled Accountant to join our team in St Paul, MN. The company specializes in simplifying regulatory disclosure and communications through an intuitive SaaS platform, combining technology with market expertise and exceptional customer service.
As an Accountant, you will manage core accounting functions from daily transaction recording to financial statement preparation, optimizing close cycles, implementing system enhancements, and ensuring compliance with corporate policies and audit requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Record daily transactions and prepare bank reconciliations, maintaining segregation of duties
- Implement system improvement initiatives, including Oracle bank reconciliations
- Post recurring and reversing journal entries and manage allocation processes
- Participate in month-end close processes
- Prepare quarterly and annual audit schedules and assist with audit requests
- Prepare and review journal entries
- Contribute to shortening close cycles for a public corporation
- Drive ongoing process improvements
- Ensure consistent application of corporate policies and procedures
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Technical proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Access, and Oracle
- Ability to work remotely and travel monthly to site for team meetings
- Demonstrated experience in accounting with 3+ years of relevant work experience
