Description:
McAfee is seeking a skilled Accountant to join their dynamic accounting team in a hybrid role based in Frisco, TX. This position plays a pivotal role in supporting the accounting strategy, growth, and innovation while handling a wide range of general ledger activities. The focus will be on fixed asset accounting, month-end and quarter-end close processes, and balance sheet reconciliations. Additional responsibilities include OPEX accruals related to IT, marketing, and professional services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and respond to inquiries from the global fixed asset inbox daily
- Maintain fixed assets including additions, disposals, impairments, and useful life adjustments
- Review and approve purchase requisitions for fixed assets, construction-in-progress, and cloud computing projects
- Prepare journal entries related to fixed assets, cloud computing arrangements, and OPEX accruals
- Collaborate with internal teams (Operations, Finance, IT, Payments) to investigate and resolve discrepancies
- Compile monthly and quarterly receivable reports and analytics
- Perform month-end close tasks, general ledger reconciliations, and management reporting
- Assist internal and external auditors with controls testing, walkthroughs, and process improvements
- Participate in special projects, ad hoc tasks, and research initiatives
Requirements & Skills:
- Minimum 2 years of public or corporate accounting experience; more experience preferred
- Strong understanding of fixed asset and OPEX accounting is a plus
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookups, complex formulas)
- ERP experience preferred, Workday is a plus
- Ability to meet tight reporting deadlines with high accuracy
- High level of integrity, discretion, and confidentiality
- Excellent interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration
