Description:

A technology-driven organization based in Dubai is currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to manage Payables, Receivables, and General Accounting functions. This role is ideal for a tech-savvy finance professional who is comfortable working with modern automation tools, advanced Excel functions, and ERP systems to improve efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.

The selected candidate will work closely with the Finance Manager and Chief Accountant, contributing to core accounting processes while also supporting digital transformation initiatives within the finance department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage Accounts Payable processes including invoice processing, supplier verification, and payment coordination.

• Reconcile supplier accounts and monitor outstanding balances and aging reports.

• Handle Accounts Receivable functions including invoicing, collections tracking, and receipt postings.

• Support cash flow monitoring and ensure timely follow-up on receivables.

• Prepare journal entries and assist in general ledger maintenance.

• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.

• Perform bank reconciliations and intercompany account reconciliations.

• Assist in audit processes by preparing required financial documentation.

• Utilize advanced Excel tools such as PivotTables, formulas, and VBA/macros for reporting and automation.

• Work with AI-powered tools and automation platforms such as Power Automate, ChatGPT, and Microsoft Copilot to streamline finance workflows.

• Support financial reporting and data analysis for management decision-making.

• Ensure compliance with IFRS standards, UAE VAT regulations, and Corporate Tax requirements.

Requirements:

• 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience in AP, AR, or general accounting.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• Strong knowledge of IFRS, VAT, and UAE Corporate Tax regulations.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, formulas, and automation techniques.

• Familiarity with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics is highly preferred.

• Experience with AI and automation tools is a strong advantage.

• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.

• Immediate availability will be considered an advantage.
