Andrews & Cole, LLC is seeking an experienced Interim Accountant to support a well-established professional services firm that works with clients across multiple industries on a global scale. This role offers the opportunity to work remotely on a day-to-day basis while remaining within reasonable driving distance of the company’s Tampa-area office for occasional in-person meetings. There is strong potential for this interim position to convert into a permanent role based on performance and business needs.

The selected Accountant will play a key role in managing core accounting operations and ensuring smooth day-to-day financial processes. This position is ideal for a hands-on accounting professional who is comfortable working independently, demonstrates strong attention to detail, and applies accounting principles accurately in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process payroll accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Manage Accounts Payable, including invoice coding, approvals, and payments.
  • Oversee Accounts Receivable functions such as billing, collections, and aging analysis.
  • Handle Travel and Expense reporting and management.
  • Perform regular bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.

Interim Role Expectations

  • Apply a strong working knowledge of accounting principles, including debits and credits.
  • Analyze issues critically and work through accounting challenges independently.
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail across all financial tasks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with relevant accounting coursework.
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on accounting experience in an organization of similar size (approximately $30M in revenue and 60 employees).
  • Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals with the ability to think critically and problem-solve effectively.
  • Experience using Unanet’s architecture and engineering module or comparable accounting software.
  • Familiarity with ADP Payroll, Concur, and Navan systems.
