Description:
Protouch Staffing is looking for a dedicated Accountant II to join their team on a 21-month remote contract. This role focuses on maintaining accurate system accounting activities, supporting month-end general ledger close, complex account reconciliations, and financial reporting, while contributing to process improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and upload journal entries, including consolidations and eliminating entries
- Reconcile general ledger accounts with bank statements and sub-system ledgers, reporting material variances
- Compile and analyze financial data to support balance sheets, P&L statements, and other reports
- Assist senior accountants with revenue and expense forecasting
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies and reporting deadlines
- Participate in moderately complex accounting projects and recommend process improvements and controls
- Support professional development of less experienced staff
Technical Skills:
- Must Have: Accounting degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s)
- Nice to Have: Inventory accounting experience, experience with Lawson and/or Blackline
Qualifications:
- Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Solid understanding of financial accounting principles
- Effective oral and written communication skills
