Description:
EPS Learning, a leading K–12 supplemental literacy and math curriculum company, is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated early-career Accountant to join their Finance team. Responsibilities:
• Process and manage accounts payable transactions accurately and on time
• Prepare and post journal entries in compliance with accounting principles and internal policies
• Assist with monthly close activities, reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Support audit requests and documentation as needed
• Maintain financial data accuracy within NetSuite ERP system
• Build, maintain, and optimize Excel spreadsheets for reconciliations, reporting, and analysis
• Collaborate with Finance and other departments to resolve discrepancies and improve processes

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 2–3 years of accounting experience, including accounts payable and journal entry preparation
• Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems
• Exposure to 1–2 financial audits as a contributing team member
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas, data analysis)
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and accuracy in financial data
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid schedule (2 days per week in Bethesda office)
• Experience with process improvement initiatives is a plus
• Knowledge of physical inventory and Cost of Goods Sold is advantageous
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
