Description:
A company in Dubai is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant with UAE experience in the Food & Beverage sector to manage financial operations and ensure accurate reporting. This role is ideal for candidates familiar with F&B accounting processes, POS systems, and VAT compliance within the UAE.
The Accountant will be responsible for daily reconciliation of sales, bank transactions, and payment gateways, as well as preparing VAT reports, financial statements, and monthly closings. The position requires a strong understanding of aggregator platforms such as Talabat, Deliveroo, Careem, and Noon, and the ability to handle both cash and card settlements effectively.
Responsibilities include:
- Performing daily sales and POS reconciliation for multiple outlets.
- Reconciling bank statements and payment gateway transactions.
- Managing accounts payable and receivable efficiently.
- Preparing accurate VAT reports and financial statements in compliance with UAE regulations.
- Monitoring inventory and implementing cost control measures.
- Closing monthly books and generating P&L reports.
Requirements include:
- Minimum of 1–2 years of accounting experience in the UAE F&B sector.
- Experience with POS reconciliation and aggregator platforms such as Talabat, Deliveroo, Careem, and Noon.
- Strong knowledge of VAT filing and UAE compliance regulations.
- Proficiency in Excel and accounting software for reporting and reconciliation tasks.
