Description:
Green Plus Shipping L.L.C. is seeking an experienced Accountant to join its team in Dubai. This role is ideal for finance professionals who have strong accounting knowledge and are capable of managing daily financial operations in a fast-paced shipping and logistics environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing accounting documents, managing receivables and payables, reconciling accounts, and supporting VAT compliance. Candidates with previous experience in the shipping, freight forwarding, or logistics sector will be given preference.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain daily accounting records and ensure accurate financial entries.
• Prepare invoices, payment vouchers, receipts, and other accounting documents.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable efficiently.
• Reconcile bank statements, customer accounts, and vendor accounts.
• Assist with monthly financial reports and period-end account closing.
• Maintain VAT records and support the preparation of UAE VAT returns.
• Monitor company expenses and ensure accurate financial documentation.
• Coordinate with internal departments regarding payments and outstanding balances.
Requirements:
• 2–3 years of accounting experience (Mandatory).
• Experience in shipping, freight forwarding, or logistics is preferred.
• Knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and accounting procedures.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Filipino candidates are preferred.
