Description:
Hotington is seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Accountant to join its team in Dubai. This opportunity is ideal for finance professionals with strong accounting expertise and a solid understanding of UAE tax regulations, financial reporting, and day-to-day accounting operations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, ensuring compliance with UAE VAT and corporate tax requirements, and supporting month-end and year-end closing activities. The role requires excellent analytical skills, accuracy, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bookkeeping, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
• Prepare accurate financial statements, management reports, and budgets in a timely manner.
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT, corporate tax regulations, accounting standards, and company policies.
• Maintain organized, accurate, and confidential financial records.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including audit preparation and coordination.
• Assist with financial planning, forecasting, variance analysis, and cost control initiatives.
• Collaborate with internal departments to improve financial processes and reporting accuracy.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of professional accounting experience. UAE/Dubai experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT, corporate tax procedures, and financial regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as Tally, QuickBooks, or ERP systems, along with advanced MS Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical abilities with strong attention to detail.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work extended hours during peak financial periods when required.
