Description:
A reputable construction company in Dubai is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Mid-Level Accountant to join its finance team. This role is suited for professionals with strong accounting knowledge who can maintain accurate financial records and support day-to-day financial operations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for bookkeeping, reconciliations, financial reporting, and compliance with IFRS, VAT, and corporate tax requirements. Candidates with previous UAE and construction industry experience, along with strong accounting software and Excel skills, will be preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform daily bookkeeping and accounting activities.
• Verify supporting documents and ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records.
• Maintain accounting records, ledgers, journals, and supporting documentation.
• Perform bank, supplier, customer, and general ledger reconciliations.
• Record financial transactions in the accounting system.
• Assist with month-end closing and the preparation of financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
• Support audit, VAT, and corporate tax compliance processes.
• Assist with implementing internal accounting, control, and reporting procedures.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Good knowledge of accounting principles and IFRS.
• Strong Excel skills and proficiency in accounting software.
• Good command of English; knowledge of Russian would be an advantage.
• ACCA, CPA, or CMA qualification, or progress toward one, would be an advantage.
• Experience in the construction industry and previous UAE experience are preferred.
• Strong knowledge of:
• Accounting principles and IFRS.
• Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• VAT, corporate tax, audit support, and financial reporting.
