Description:
Cello Restaurant is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accountant to join its finance team in Dubai. This role is ideal for accounting professionals with previous experience in the hospitality or food and beverage sector who can effectively manage financial records, support daily accounting operations, and contribute to the organization’s financial accuracy and compliance.
The successful candidate will play a key role in handling financial transactions, managing accounts, supporting reporting processes, and ensuring adherence to UAE tax and financial regulations. The position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Candidates with ERP expertise, restaurant management system experience, and professional finance certifications will be highly regarded.
Key Responsibilities:
• Record daily financial transactions and maintain accurate accounting records
• Prepare and process invoices, payments, receipts, and expense documentation
• Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions
• Reconcile bank statements, supplier accounts, and petty cash balances
• Support inventory management, cost control activities, and monthly closing procedures
• Assist in preparing monthly and quarterly financial reports
• Maintain proper filing and documentation of financial records
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, and financial regulations
• Handle salary processing and WPS postings through banking and ERP systems
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• Minimum 2–5 years of accounting experience
• Previous experience in the F&B or hospitality industry is mandatory
• Strong understanding of UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, and accounting standards
• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Strong knowledge of:
• Accounting software and advanced MS Excel functions
• ERP systems and restaurant management software
• Financial reporting, reconciliations, and regulatory compliance
• CMA, CIMA, CA, MBA, or equivalent professional certification will be an added advantage
