Description:

Bartawi General Contracting LLC is currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to join its finance team in Dubai. The company is looking for a professional with strong expertise in contracting and MEP project accounting, capable of handling financial operations, cost control, and project-based reporting within a fast-paced construction environment.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in managing project accounts, subcontractor billing, payroll processing, and financial reporting while ensuring compliance with UAE financial regulations, IFRS standards, VAT laws, and corporate tax requirements.

Key Requirements:

• 4–7 years of accounting experience within the contracting or construction industry

• Strong knowledge of IFRS standards, UAE VAT regulations, and corporate tax laws

• Experience in project accounting, cost control, and progress billing activities

• Familiarity with payroll processing, WPS system, and financial reporting procedures

• Proficiency in ERP systems such as XERO and advanced Excel functions

• Immediate joiners currently based in the UAE will be preferred

• Strong analytical, organizational, and reporting skills

Preferred Background:

• Experience in Civil and MEP project accounting

• Handling subcontractor billing and payment coordination

• Monitoring project cash flow, cost allocation, and profitability analysis

• Supporting financial decision-making for ongoing construction projects

Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations and financial records

• Handle project-wise accounting, budgeting, and cost tracking

• Prepare financial statements, reports, and management accounts

• Process payroll, WPS salaries, and employee financial records

• Ensure compliance with VAT, corporate tax, and IFRS regulations

• Coordinate with project managers for billing, costing, and financial updates

• Monitor cash flow and support financial forecasting activities

• Manage subcontractor invoices and payment schedules

• Maintain accurate accounting records and ERP system updates
