Description:
The Espresso Lab is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join their Dubai team. This role involves managing financial operations, ensuring compliance with UAE VAT and other regulations, and supporting internal audits. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience with accounting software, and the ability to collaborate with multiple departments including retail, operations, and HR.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and reports
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and reconciliations
- Ensure accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes
- Maintain compliance with UAE tax laws (VAT) and other financial regulations, including VAT filing
- Support internal audits and financial reviews
- Monitor and analyze accounting data to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Lead process improvement initiatives within the finance department
- Assist in inventory accounting and cost control for retail and F&B operations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including retail, operations, and HR
Qualifications:
- CPA, ACCA, or CMA certification preferred
- Strong understanding of UAE VAT laws and local financial regulations
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks or ERP systems)
- Advanced Excel skills
- Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational abilities
- High attention to detail and ability to work independently
